What is cannabis decarboxylation and why is it necessary?
This is part of the decarbing process, its important when making edibles you understand why “decarboxylation” is important.
The No 1 reason for decarboxylate “decarb” is to ensure when you cook the weed, you do not lose its cannabis effects. Adding this additional step requires some patience….but the effects will be worth it in the end. When you cook the weed, decarboxylation takes place, it's when the THCA converts into THC using heat, which will allow the butter to have THC euphoric effects i.e. you get stoned! Some recipes say you can put dry cannabis directly in your cooking mixtures, but with a little patience, decarbing will make it more effective.

New to edibles? what dosage should you use?
When trying edibles for the first time take it slow and steady, it’s always better to underdose than over….Always start with the lowest dosage (1-2.5mg THC), and wait an hour, if you do not feel any effects you can take some more. Monitor your dosage with care.
